Magic waive veteran big man Mozgov

The Orlando Magic have waived center Timofey Mozgov, according to team president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman.

Mozgov, 32, did not play a game last season because of a knee injury. Orlando acquired him as part of a three-team trade July 8, 2018. He last appeared in an NBA game during the 2017-18 season as a member of the Brooklyn Nets.

A member of the Cleveland Cavaliers' NBA championship team in 2016, Mozgov carries career averages of 6.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 18.0 minutes in 454 games (273 starts), shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 73.8 percent from the free-throw line.
