Celtics' Tatum in walking boot after win

Boston Celtics rookie Jayson Tatum was in a walking boot after the win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. Tatum left the game in the second quarter after experiencing right ankle soreness.

The Celtics said that Tatum was put in a walking boot to "be safe" last night. He is expected to have tests done today.

The No. 3 overall pick in the 2017 draft had five points in nine minutes against LA, and was replaced in the first unit by Marcus Smart during the second half last night.

Tatum has continued to impress fans during the first few weeks of his rookie year. He's averaging 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field in 30 minutes a game.

He's fit in well to a Celtics team that won their 10th straight game with their 107-96 win over the Lakers. Boston currently has the best record in the league at 10-2.
