The basketball world loses yet another youngster

An auto crash has claimed the life of a college basketball player in Atlanta. Accidents are sometimes avoidable and sometimes unavoidable. However, one has claimed another youngster in the field of the dunk and slam game. This time, it is a college basketball player in Atlanta. The college basketball player who lives in the metro Atlanta area was reported to have crashed his car on the Ga. 400 in Dawson County. This news was confirmed by the authorities at the University of North Georgia, and the basketball world has been thrown into mourning for losing yet another bright future.

The teenager named Ross Morkem was just 19 years old. He graduated from the Lambert High School in Forsyth County last two years. After that, he enrolled into the University of North Georgia. According to the news from the University, he is currently a sophomore student of the citadel of learning, but he died in crash.

Information from official sources posited that the crash did not involve any other car. Ross Morkem was driving a 2010 Ford Mustang when the incident occurred and he was alone in the car, with no other passengers with him. This was contained in an email statement that the Georgia State Patrol sent to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Information from the official sources says that the crash occurred at exactly 1:10 a.m. the explanation is that the car was traveling south. But it later swerved towards the west shoulder. According to the source, the car traveled along the west shoulder for about 200 feet before jamming a utility pole that was positioned somewhere in front. After this, it halted without control at the southern side of the west shoulder.

The complete funeral order of service has not been concluded, but news coming out from the family says that they will be having a public reception around 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. This reception according to the university will be held in Cumming, precisely at the Three Chimneys Farm Clubhouse

The Morkem family has also come out to say that they will not want flowers for the reception and funeral. Instead, they have advised people who will like to show empathy and sympathy to do so by donating money online to the Ross Morkem Scholarship Fund.
