Thunder exercise options on Ferguson, Gilgeous-Alexander

The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised the 2020-21 options on swingman Terrance Ferguson and guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the team announced in a news release.

Ferguson, 21, is 6-foot-7 and averaged 6.9 points in 74 games last season, all starts. He is entering his third year.

Gilgeous-Alexander is 6-6 and plays primarily point guard. He was acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the Paul George trade in July. He averaged 10.8 points in 82 games with LA last season.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s third-year option is for about $4.1 million, while Ferguson’s fourth-year option is worth $3.9 million. The Thunder had until Oct. 31 to decide on both options.
