Timberwolves waive undrafted rookies Battle, Brown

The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived rookie shooting guard Tyus Battle and rookie combo guard Barry Brown Jr., as relayed by Arthur Hill of HoopsRumors.

Battle is 6-foot-6 and averaged 17.2 points on 43 percent shooting as a junior at Syracuse last season.

Brown is 6-3 and averaged 14.9 points as a senior at Kansas State. He was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

Battle and Brown signed Exhibit 10 deals with the Timberwolves after going undrafted in June. Both played for the Timberwolves in summer league.

As Hill noted, both players are likely headed to the Iowa Wolves, the Timberwolves' affiliate in the G League.
