All good things must end, and that goes for the fantastic season that Cleveland Cavaliers put together. They fell to the New York Knicks in Game 5, 106-95, as they officially moved on to the second round.

There was nothing really new in Cleveland's final game of the series. They were outrebounded, out-hustled, and overall outplayed by the Knicks which has pretty much been the theme of the entire series.

The Cavs continued to have zero answers for Jalen Brunson who had 23 points, Mitchell Robinson who had 18 rebounds, and Josh Hart who also had 12 boards. New York also got more help from the supporting cast of R.J. Barrett and Immanuel Quickley

Donovan Mitchell did have a better game after his disappointing showing in Game 4 as the All-Star guard had 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in his final game of the season.

Mitchell was incredibly hard on himself after the game pinning the loss on him not being able to do his job.

Darius Garland had 21 points while struggling from three. He was just 1-for-6 from behind the arc as he struggled to find his shot.

There will be a lot to dissect from this series and season as the summer approaches, but for now, there is a sense of disappointment from fans and players as this largely exciting 2022-23 season comes to an end.
