Cavs Release Additional Statement Following Koby Altman Arrest

The Cleveland Cavaliers say they are "monitoring the facts" after Koby Altman gets arrested for OVI.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in the news for all of the wrong reasons for the last couple of days. It all stems from Koby Altman's arrest last Friday night after he was charged with operating a vehicle impaired. The organization released a brief statement directly after the incident but did not provide much information.

Since everything went down, we now have more information on Altman's state and also have body camera footage of the officer who pulled him over.

The Cavs issued a new updated statement regarding the recent 

“We hold our team members to a high standard of conduct and expect leaders at every level of our organization to represent the Cavaliers with integrity, professionalism and accountability. We will continue to closely monitor the facts and circumstances of this matter and await resolution of the legal process.” 

It's unknown at this time whether the organization plans to discipline Altman for his actions and paint the team and NBA in a negative image. What we do know is that this is not a great way to start one of the most important Cavaliers seasons in recent memory.

The Cavs were eliminated from the playoffs last season after being gentlemen's swept by the New York Knicks. There are already plenty of rumors as to what Donovan Mitchell's future in Cleveland looks like and they're likely to continue all season. 

Cleveland will need their President of Basketball Operations to make adjustments to the roster throughout the season being in a pivotal position this season.
