LOOK: Cavaliers Reveal City Uniforms For 2023-24 Season

The Cleveland Cavaliers take inspiration from Playhouse Square for their 2023-24 City Uniforms.

Waiting to see what an NBA's City Uniforms will look like for the upcoming season has become a new tradition for fans. This concept started in 2017 after Nike took over as the brand supplier for the NBA's jerseys.

Some of them have been sharp, others not so much.

The Cleveland Cavaliers unveiled their City Uniform for the 2023-24 season at the organization's "Season Tip-Off Event" on Tuesday night. Take a look at the jersey for yourself:

The goal of this uniform line is to take elements from each city's unique characteristics. Lake Erie, Rock n' Roll, and The Metroparks have all been inspirations in the past. Cleveland's jersey theme for this season is apparently based on the historic Playhouse Square.

The Cavs also plan to host their first-ever "Cavs Season Tip-Off Fan Fest" on October 21 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and it will take place outside Cleveland's Playhouse Square on Euclid Avenue. It's not known whether there is a correction between the two but it certainly fits well.

Personally I think this is one of the better City Uniforms the Cavs have had. Not that it's in any way the best uniform I've ever seen, but it could be way worse. It does look very similar to the Christmas Day jerseys from 2017 but in the best way. The script "The Land" and the elegant number pop while still being subtle.

Cleveland has many landmarks with historical significance and it's cool to finally see Playhouse Square put in the spotlight.
