Darius Garland admitted after the Cleveland Cavaliers crushed the New York Knicks in Game 2 that he was hard on himself after Game 1. He had 17 points in his playoff debut but was quite passive on offense.

That wasn't the case in Game 2.

DG finished the game with 32 points while shooting 60 percent from behind the arc, seven assists, and even grabbed three rebounds. His intensity on the offensive side and defensive end were huge difference makers in this game.

DG reflected on his big performance in Game 2 and said,

"Everybody in the building told me to be aggressive and go get the ball. I watched the film from the first game and I'd seen some opportunities where I can go get mine and be aggressive so that's what I tried to do today ... When I saw the first couple fall, I knew it was going to be a good night.

Garland's ability to adapt to the Knicks after one game is a testament to his basketball IQ. We've always known that he was a smart player, but we're seeing a different side of this in the playoffs.

The series won't get any easier from here as the Cavs shift their focus to Game 3 which will take place in the hostile Madison Square Garden.
