Donovan Mitchell's Availability In Jeopardy For Cavs-Pistons

Donovan Mitchell is listed as questionable for the Cleveland Cavaliers' matchup with the Detroit Pistons.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are now 2-5 since returning from the All-Star Break. Great vibes were heading into the midseason hiatus, but that has turned into worry as the Cavs have lost their identity on offense and defense.

The only thing that could make this situation even worse is if they lose their MVP candidate. That might be the case as Cleveland takes on the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. 

Donovan Mitchell is currently (as of Thursday evening) listed as QUESTIONABLE with left knee soreness for Cleveland's matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, per NBA's Injury Report

If Spida were to miss this game, it would be his third missed contest since returning from the All-Star Break. He was absent for the team's first two games back with an illness. The Cavaliers lost both of those games and the team clearly missed his scoring and playmaking ability.

This new injury comes just 24 hours after Mitchell played his heart out against the Chicago Bulls. Despite the loss, Spida scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out three assists in 44 minutes of play. 

Mitchell continues to play at a high level when he's on the floor no matter who Cleveland's opponent is The seventh-year guard is currently averaging 28.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks a game.
