Celtics Star Upgraded to Available for Wednesday's Bucks Game

While Giannis Antetokounmpo is unavailable for the Bucks, the Celtics will have both of their All-Star wings in the lineup on Wednesday.

While the Milwaukee Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for Wednesday night's clash between the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference -- though there is a ten-game gap between them -- the Boston Celtics received better news regarding their star on the injury report.

The hosts of Wednesday's tilt at TD Garden will have Jaylen Brown in the lineup for this matchup. They initially listed the three-time All-Star as questionable for the contest due to a right ankle sprain.

Boston has ruled out Jrue Holiday due to a right AC joint sprain. The C's have also declared Sam Hauser inactive because of a left ankle sprain.

However, in a positive development, the six-foot-eight sharpshooter, who erupted for a career-high 30 points, burying 10/13 threes, also a personal best, in the Celtics' 130-104 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saint Patrick's Day, got an on-court workout in ahead of Wednesday's game.

Regarding Antetokounmpo's hamstring injury and the decision not to bring him to Boston, Bucks' head coach Doc Rivers conveyed pregame, "Sometimes, you just have to say no."

Milwaukee's bench boss also acknowledged that his team is prioritizing the playoffs, even preferring to get practice reps in, regardless of whether those workouts cost them regular season contests.
