Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Dallas Mavericks will be dealing Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and a first-round draft pick to the Charlotte Hornets for PJ Washington. During his childhood, Williams lived in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Williams was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 22nd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-6 forward, nicknamed Batman, was utilized as a consistent part of their rotation.

This season, Williams is averaging 8.1 points and 3.6 rebounds over 26.4 minutes per game. The 25-year-old was traded from the Celtics to Dallas in July.

In Charlotte, Williams joins a potential starting lineup of LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, and Nick Richards. The Hornets are currently 13th in the Eastern Conference standings.

The NBA trade deadline period closed on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3:00 pm EST.
