The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 129-124 on Tuesday night. The team was up 20 in the first half, and then it got down to the wire in a possession game in the second half and fourth quarter.

Derrick White continued to spotlight his All-Star campaign with 24 points, five assists, and four threes, shooting 50 percent from the field. Jayson Tatum had another 30-point masterpiece, while Jaylen Brown continued to display his best basketball with 25 of his own.

Following the victory, Brown, with another stellar night, talked about the team's mental state, having played the abundance of games that they have in so many days. He knows the Celtics' have done a solid job staying the course and holding it down to get the job done.

"I think we've been holding our ground," Brown told NBC Sports Boston's Abby Chin. "I think that obviously, we haven't been as sharp or as perfect as we would like to have been, but I feel like we came out; we played a level of basketball that is our standard. I feel like we've shared the ball."

Brown continued to detail how it has not been the prettiest, but they still have not skipped a beat.

"We've missed some shots; we've got off to some slow starts in games that got away from us," the All-Star wing said. "For the most part, we've been a physically tough, mentally tough team, and I think that's important that we haven't skipped any steps. We haven't let the rope go; we been guarding our [expletive] off all year; we been moving the ball pretty much all year; we been rebounding the ball well all year. Those are all good signs to a good team, so I think we haven't skipped any steps. This is a tough moment; guys were out; tough part of the season mentally for everybody, and I think we've been responding well."

Boston's homestand continues Thursday night on TNT when the Los Angeles Lakers come into town.
