On WCVB Boston News, Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck shared that, tired of his team's playoff inconsistencies, he told the franchise's president of basketball operations, Brad Stevens, and their head coach, Joe Mazzulla, it was time for change.

He also recalled an extended stay in Milwaukee while in a playoff series against the Bucks a couple of years ago that provided his first opportunity to spend quality time with Mazzulla, who quickly made a favorable impression.

"I just found him really compelling; like a guy that I would follow," said Grousbeck. "That's how I make these recommendations or decisions, is I kind of think of, what would I do if I were on this team? Would I follow this person? Would I respect them"

He also voiced the reason Mazzulla evokes that reaction from people, stating, "It's more than charisma; it's substance. And it's authentic."
