Boston Celtics rookie Jordan Walsh was in Worcester on Friday for the unveiling of a newly renovated basketball court at Union Hill School. The Celtics organization and New Balance collaborated on the project.

Walsh revealed to reporters at the school that veteran Celtics big man Al Horford has taken him under his wing, as captured by CLNS Media.

"He's been telling me about being professional, showing up every day to work hard and knowing that this first year is going to be bumpy ... it's always a transition, but ... we have a good group of guys who will take care of me," Walsh said.

Walsh, 19, was selected with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft after one season playing college basketball at the University of Arkansas. He averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game in 36 games played with the Razorbacks during the 2022-23 season (22 starts).

The 6-foot-7 forward put together an impressive NBA Summer League stint in Las Vegas a few months back. Walsh averaged 16.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game across five games and also converted 40.7 percent of his three-point attempts.
