The Boston Celtics have signed former Utah State University forward Taylor Funk to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to CLNS Media's Bobby Manning.

Funk, 25, played a whopping six seasons of college basketball — five as a member of Saint Joseph's University and one as a member of Utah State.

Arguably Funk's best season of college basketball came during the 2020-21 season, when he was playing for Saint Joseph's. He averaged 17.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game in 20 appearances for the Hawks (all starts).

Seeing as the Celtics have plenty of depth at the forward spots, don't expect Funk to log non-garbage-time minutes with the team next season. He certainly could have an opportunity at consistent playing time with Boston's G-League team, the Maine Celtics, though.
