The Boston Celtics boast the NBA's best record, sitting atop the league standings at 44-12. No other team has reached 40 wins.

The C's also boast what's widely considered the most talented top six in the Association. But they have a vacant roster spot that their president of basketball operations, Brad Stevens, stated, "I think we just have to see number one is if there's somebody that can again provide great depth for our group, but I don't anticipate a person that vaults into our every night rotation."

He told Inside The Celtics of the possibility they fill that opening by converting center Neemias Queta from a two-way to a full-time contract, "I have, we have, to continue to evaluate everything for that last roster spot we have, but he's done a great job."

Boston now methodically calculates how best to address that empty roster spot and if it's better not to add anyone else to a tight-knit group with outstanding chemistry after acquiring Xavier Tillman and Jaden Springer at the trade deadline.

As the organization does so, one of its former stars, Isaiah Thomas, stated his case for how he could help Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Co. ascend to the NBA's summit.

"My leadership alone would put this team over the hump! I don’t even have to play a single minute," he expressed on X.

Thomas earned two All-Star nods, an All-NBA Second Team selection, came in fifth in the 2016-17 MVP voting, and led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals that postseason.
