LeBron James Reveals Untold Details of Lakers’ Comeback vs. Clippers

LeBron James broke down one of the biggest comebacks of the season.

February 28, 2024, was a horrible day for Clippers fans, but a great one for Lakers fans. It was the day when LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a 21-point fourth-quarter comeback against the Clippers - a moment James still remembers perfectly.

During the first episode of LeBron's new podcast with JJ Redick called the Mind the Game Pod, LeBron revealed untold details of the Lakers' epic comeback versus the Clippers.

"Coach drew up a play, first play, Horn's Chest, and they f**ked up on the Horn's Chest," LeBron said. "So, we ran it again. That's another thing that bothers me about the NBA, too. Just run the same thing over and over until the same... We ran it again and they f**ked it up again. For me, if I see two threes go down, I'm going to check and see if it's a heater in this right elbow for sure. I hit another one, and at this point, now I'm feeling really good. I've got a nice bounce in my step, we getting stops."

Once LeBron hit two three-pointers in a row and nearly trimmed the lead in half, he wanted a heat check. As soon as he hit that heat check, LeBron knew the dominoes were falling for the Clippers.

"I rarely shoot the ball on the run, especially if the ball is in my right hand, I rarely shoot it," LeBron said. "I had a bounce and I had a feeling, 'if I can make this one go, that's where I know, NBA Jam you're on fire,'. I let that one go from the right wing by the bench so I kind of bumped into T-Lue. Then they called time out. That's when I knew the momentum could change."

Moments like these could appear random on the court, but the details that LeBron provides show just how calculated things can actually be. Very few players in NBA history have the basketball IQ of LeBron James, and this new podcast will be a blessing for those who appreciate it.
