Report: Montrezl Harrell Leaves Orlando Bubble for Urgent Family Situation

Harrell plans to return on a later date

Montrezl Harrell has left the bubble.

According to a report from Shams Charania, Montrezl Harrell has left the Orlando bubble to tend to an urgent family situation. Andrew Greif from the LA Times also confirmed that Harrell is expected to return.

The current situation leaves the LA Clippers with only one available center—Joakim Noah. Ivica Zubac is also not in the bubble, and Doc Rivers has yet to address where he is.

Harrell spoke to the media this week, and there were no indications of any type of emergency. He spoke about his chemistry with Lou Williams, using the NBA hotline and how the Clippers have stayed occupied in the bubble.

As of right now, the Clippers are missing Landry Shamet, Ivica Zubac, Montrezl Harrell and Marcus Morris. There isn't a word on when any of the players will arrive to the bubble. Doc Rivers was asked about their current whereabouts today on a call with Sports Illustrated, and said this:

"Well, there's nothing you can do about it so I don't have a lot of concern about it," Rivers said. "It's real. But as far as guys that have showed up and not showed up, we don't talk about that, so we're going to continue to not talk about it."

Despite the uncertainty, there seems to be a certain aura of calmness around the Clippers, that the missing players will arrive for opening night on July 30. We hope that all is well for Montrezl Harrell and his family.
