Paul George Gets Honest About Beef With Devin Booker
LA Clippers star Paul George and Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker have had several heated moments over the last few seasons. While most of these have been on the court, things escalated off the court earlier this offseason when Booker called out George for a question he asked Klay Thompson during Podcast P. Feeling George was trying to bait Thompson into saying something bad about Booker, the Suns star called George out on Instagram, which led to George firing back on a Twitch stream.
Sitting down with Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, George addressed this beef, saying, “I don’t know where it took the turn. Things got heated when we played Phoenix. Conversations sparked, and it came from that end. Again, this goes down to a respect line. Me and Devin always been good, he was little bro when he came in the league. Then all of a sudden the temperature changed to where now it was a line that was - you know, stepped over the line. So now it is what it is at this point.”
George again reiterated that Thompson’s answer was his answer, and that was that. Not looking for anything from the Warriors guard, George was simply asking a question. Explaining this to Rooks, George added, “But again, [Booker] took it upon himself to be seen or heard in that moment. Cool. Now it is what it is.”
