Atlanta Hawks Beat Utah Jazz 115-108
Summary
The Atlanta Hawks entered Friday night's matchup against the Utah Jazz as road warriors and fought hard for 48 minutes. Atlanta defeated Utah 115-108, picking up another important win on their five-game road trip.
Atlanta did not waste any time jumping out to a 22-point lead in the first half. Thanks to a strong showing by Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson, Utah made a few runs but never truly got close.
Utah shot an uncharacteristically bad 29.5% from three, which held them back throughout the game. Atlanta shot an even worse 27% from deep. Dejounte Murray and John Collins shot a combined 2-13 from behind the arc.
However, Atlanta benefited from the 1-2 punch of Trae Young and De'Andre Hunter, who scored 27 and 26 points, respectively. While Atlanta's shots weren't falling at a high rate, they outrebounded Utah and turned the ball over just nine times.
Atlanta improves to 27-26, while Utah falls to 27-27 on the season. Following tonight's game, the Hawks fly to Denver for the second night of a back-to-back. Check back into AllHawks.com for all your game day coverage.
