Injury Report: Hawks vs Clippers

The Hawks hope to end their three-game losing streak tomorrow night when they face the Clippers

The Atlanta Hawks continue their road trip tomorrow night when the face the Los Angeles Clippers. Atlanta is on a three-game losing streak heading into this matchup and on their recently released injury report, the Hawks are still going to be missing some key contributors tomorrow night.

AJ Griffin (right lower leg/right ankle contusion) is out, Mouhamed Gueye (right UCL sprain) is out, while Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu, Kobe Bufkin, Saddiq Bey are still out. Neither Jalen Johnson or Bogdan Bogdanovic were listed on the injury report. Johnson returned from an ankle sprain last night and Bogdanovic missed the game with an illness.

The Atlanta Hawks provided an update on the injury to Griffin.

"Guard AJ Griffin has missed the last four College Park Skyhawks games due to soreness in his right lower leg and ankle following a contusion on March 5. He will be recalled to the Hawks later today and is scheduled to be evaluated by the Hawks’ medical staff next week. An update will be provided following the appointment."

Griffin has played in six games for the College Park Skyhawks and is averaging 14 PPG while shooting 43% from the field and 40% from three.

Yesterday, Atlanta provided an update on Mouhamed Gueye, their second round pick from the 2023 draft:

"Forward Mouhamed Gueye injured his right elbow/forearm during Tuesday’s College Park Skyhawks game at Indiana, while on G League assignment. An MRI taken yesterday in Chicago revealed an ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) sprain. Gueye will return to Atlanta to begin rehabilitation and will be re-evaluated in seven-to-10 days. An update will be provided as appropriate."

The Clippers beat the Hawks in Atlanta in the first matchup, but that was a fully healthy Hawks team. Atlanta is going to be a heavy underdog if the Clippers are healthy tomorrw and it will be tough for the Hawks to get a win.
