The Atlanta Hawks are currently battling the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA Play-In Tournament. The winner of the highly consequential game earns the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Naturally, tempers run hot, and the Hawks bench is no different. After a mismanaged final possession of the first quarter, Trae Young had a heated exchange with assistant coach Jamelle McMillan. Check out the tweeted video below.

We need a legitimate lip reader to report back to us on what was said between Young and McMillan. It is entirely normal for players and coaches to argue. Look no further than Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers this past weekend or the Miami Heat earlier this season.

However, there is plenty of acrimony between Young and McMillan, given that the star player is blamed for getting Jamelle's father, Nate McMillan, fired as head coach in February.

After parting ways with McMillan, Atlanta swiftly hired Quin Snyder as the team's head coach. McMillan's assistant coaches (including his son) remained on the staff, but their future within the organization is far from certain.

Luckily for Hawks fans, Young and McMillan are both professionals who should easily be able to put their brief disagreement behind them for the better good of the team. Plus, a win tonight would cure a lot of what ails Atlanta.
