Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young has been stuck in a bad news cycle for over a week. The day before the NBA Play-In Tournament began, news broke that Young was no longer considered untouchable by the Hawks organization.

Since then, Atlanta has fallen behind 2-0 in its first round Easter Conference Playoff series against the Boston Celtics. Through two games, Young has shot 35% from the field and 23.1% from deep.

The disappearance of Young's shot has led many fans and media members to wonder what happened to the once-prolific point guard. To make matters worse, Young shared the news of his grandfather's passing on Twitter earlier today.

Anyone even remotely familiar with Young knows how important family is to the 24-year-old. The Young family is a tight-knit group that works hard at staying close despite splitting time between Oklahoma and Georgia.

Unfortunately for Young, he will have no time for bereavement until after the season. Atlanta hosts Boston for Games 3 and 4 of the series this Friday and Sunday night. We at AllHawks.com send our condolences to the Young family during this time.
