A Look Back At Miami Heat-Denver Nuggets Series During Regular Season

The Miami Heat to meet the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals

The Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets play in the NBA Finals for the first time in history. With superstars Jimmy Butler and Jamal Murray being two of the best performers remaining in the playoffs, NBA fans could be in for a high-scoring series.

Here’s a look at how they played against each other this season when the Nuggets won both games:

Dec. 30:

This game marked the first of a five-game road trip for the Heat, the longest stretch of their season. The Nuggets outscored the Heat 39-29 in the fourth quarter to capture a 124-119 victory. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the way with 20 points, making all of his field goal attempts. Nikola Jokic recorded 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists while Bones Hyland scored 16 off the bench.

Tyler Herro led the Heat with his sixth double-double of the season. He had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Bam Adebayo had 22 points. Jimmy Butler scored 17 points and Max Strus recorded 19 off the bench.

Feb. 13:

Two days after an overtime win against the Orlando Magic, the Heat found themselves in the losing column. Seven Nuggets’ players scored in double-figures to take a 112-108 victory. With Murray sidelined due to a right knee inflammation, Nikola Jokic led the way with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Porter had 17 points and Bruce Brown 16.

With Herro sidelined due to a knee injury, Butler recorded 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Heat. Strus had 23 points and Adebayo scored 19.
