After Losing To Miami Heat, Shaq Says Bucks Headed To Another First-Round Exit

The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, causing many to wonder how far they will go in the playoffs

The media is making it known the Milwaukee Bucks are in trouble entering the NBA All-Star break.

The Bucks lost 113-110 Thursday to the Memphis Grizzlies. Bucks coach Doc Rivers was critical of the effort by many of the players.

“We had some guys here, and some guys in Cabo,” Rivers said.

That led to criticism from TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal, who gave his thoughts on ‘Inside the NBA.’

"The Bucks have to understand because of Giannis and Dame, opponents are going to be playing way above their heads," O’Neal said. "They were supposed to come out and smash this team but they had trouble with the defense, no timely stops, no effort ... “It's a championship team on paper but the way they playing right now, they gonna get swept in the first round."

The Bucks entered the season with championship aspirations. Last year they were the top seed before losing to the Miami Heat in the first round after Antetokounmpo was injured in Game 1. That set off a fleury of changes around the organization.

They fired coach Mike Budenholzer, who was replaced by Adrian Griffin. He lasted just 43 games in that role before Rivers was hired. The addition of All-Star guard Damian Lillard has yet to mesh on offense. The Bucks are also tied for 17th in defensive efficiency this season after finishing fourth last year.
