How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Friday’s Loss To The Atlanta Hawks

A Dejounte Murray game-winner spoils Udonis Haslem's jersey retirement ceremony.

The night started off with Kaseya Center retiring Miami Heat legend Udonis Haslem's jersey.

It ended with a last-second loss to the Atlanta Hawks after star guard Dejounte Murray's winning 3-point shot.

Had Miami held their lead in the waning seconds, fans would've probably praised the team for a gritty victory. But because the night ended in loss, the fanbase expressed nothing but discontent.

"Lost on UD night," user HeatCulture said. "This team is an absolute joke, 'Heat culture' doesn’t exist no more, team is soft and Spo sold us. MAKE SOME TRADES!"

The backcourt production has regressed to the point where Jimmy Butler was placed at shooting guard. He and Tyler Herro each had 25 points, while Bam Adebayo nearly had a 21-point triple double. The same couldn't be said about the second unit, with Josh Richardson and Kyle Lowry combining for 11 points in 20+ minutes each. Even when coming off the bench, Lowry continues to be the focal point of criticism from fans.

After Murray's winning shot, fans called for the star Hawks guard to join the Heat. He finished with 22 points, 11 assists and two steals in the absence of Trae Young.

Any last-second loss would stir up feelings of dissatisfaction, but the fact that Miami lost on Haslem's celebration night made fans even more upset.

The Heat play the Orlando Magic (22-20) Sunday night.
