How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Loss Against Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday Night

The Milwaukee Bucks bounced back big in Game 2.

The Miami Heat’s upset win against the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday night instilled underdog confidence in fans. That optimism dwindled after a blowout loss in Game 2, bringing many fans back to criticizing the team after losing to a Bucks team without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks had one of their worst shooting games of the season in Game 1. They made sure this didn’t happen again, putting up 81 points in the first half alone on 57 percent shooting from 3-point range.

They ended the game going 25 of 49 from downtown, setting the NBA record for most 3-pointers in a postseason game. Meanwhile, Miami resorted back to their lackluster shooting in that category. They ended the game shooting 44.4 percent from the arc, but many of these shots were once the game was already out of reach. Milwaukee’s 138 points was the most scored in a franchise playoff game since 1978. Instead of one player doing damage, the Bucks produced a collective effort with seven players in double figures, including 39 bench points from Joe Ingles and Pat Connaughton.

Even for as lopsided as this loss was, some Heat fans chose to view it as one bad game. Many shrugged it off, encouraging the Heat to take the loss and move forward.

“Bucks had their backs against the wall and they went nuclear,” user HeatNation said. “The Heat split the series and head back to Miami. Protect home court.”

The series is now even at 1-1, and the Heat head back to Miami for Game 3 Saturday night.
