How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Monday's Loss To The Phoenix Suns
Many Miami Heat fans thought their narrow overtime victory against the Brooklyn Nets would be a wake up call or fluke in the grand scheme of the season.
Well, they haven't won a game since. The Heat continue to search for answers amidst their seventh consecutive defeat. Their blowout loss to the Phoenix Suns Monday night added another reason for concern about the team for the last few months of the season. Unlike most games, Miami was fully healthy and couldn't use injuries as justification for their shortcoming. They were just simply outdone by Phoenix in the end.
And as you can imagine, fans went scorched earth.
"Get rid of this court," user HeatCulture said. "This team is soft, no heart and passion to win a game, defense is cooked and Herro/Bam folding when we need a win. Softest Heat team in Jimmy’s era."
The skid against underwhelming opponents unfortunately just set them up for greater failure once playing actual playoff contenders.
Terry Rozier had his best game in a Heat jersey, but his 21-point performance was not enough to salvage a win alongside Jimmy Butler. Many had him as their saving grace this season, placing championship aspirations on the Heat after acquiring the former Charlotte Hornet. They are 0-4 since trading for Rozier, with some suggesting his team situation hasn't changed.
Meanwhile, Tyler Herro is trying to adjust to his new role as a catch-and-shoot player. However, going 5 of 18 from the field with 12 3-point attempts didn't exactly please many.
The Heat play the Sacramento Kings (27-18) Wednesday night.
