How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Wednesday’s Loss To Memphis Grizzlies

A fourth consecutive loss has many Miami Heat fans fuming out of frustration.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The Miami Heat’s championship aspirations after trading for Terry Rozier have been halted for at least one night.

The Heat fell behind to the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night and never recovered. This marked the fourth straight loss for Miami, and the third to a team with a losing record.

“This team can’t hold a lead,” user HeatCulture said. “No defense, 3-point shooting is cooked, offense is predictable and Spo doesn’t know what he’s doing. What a joke of a team.”

Instead of Grizzlies stars Ja Morant, Marcus Smart and Desmond Bane, Miami's loss was orchestrated by players like GG Jackson and Vince Williams Jr. Williams, Jackson and Scotty Pippen Jr. combined for 57 points on 69 percent shooting.

Heat fans usually call for trades and organizational moves. But upon acquiring star guard Rozier, there's no longer the default to call for outside assistance. Rozier's Heat debut was underwhelming, scoring just nine points on 27 percent shooting.

It wasn't just Rozier that fell short though. Heat stars Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler went a combined 8 of 23 from the field for 30 points. To be fair, Adebayo had 15 rebounds, six assists and six blocks. Still, some criticized his lack of offensive production Wednesday.

It's hard to tell if fans just consider this a bad night or think this is the new standard for Heat basketball. Either way, the demand for change is urgent amidst new expectations.

The Heat play the Boston Celtics (34-10) Thursday night.
