A Portion of Miami Heat’s Twitter Is Hoping For A Loss Friday Against Chicago Bulls So Rebuilding Process Can Begin

Miami Heat went 0-3 against the Chicago Bulls this season.

The Miami Heat’s season lies on their performance against the Chicago Bulls on Friday. After a blowout loss against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, it’s now or never for making the postseason. The Bulls advanced to the next round of the play-in tournament after defeating the Toronto Raptors.

If you ask Heat fans, they’re not thrilled about facing Chicago a fourth time this year. The Bulls swept the Heat during the regular season, winning by an average margin of 10.7 points.

Even if Miami wins, no one is giving them a chance against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. They have the best record in the league and are the  favorites to win the 2023 NBA championship. Some fans want to save the humiliation of watching their team potentially embarrassed. A loss would give them a higher draft pick this summer.

Some have already thrown in the towel, not even bothering to support the team anymore this season.

“I’ve never rooted for an L more than I want this one,” one user said. “This team needs to be dismantled and get as much talent as they can. Get the better pick please.”

There were even some jokes about DeMar DeRozan’s daughter possibly impacting Jimmy Butler. DeRozan’s nine-year-old daughter, Diar, was credited for distracting the Raptors while they shot free throws. The missed 18 foul shots in a game they lost by four points. Butler thrives at the foul line.

It should be an interesting Friday night for both teams.
