Takeaways From Miami Heat's Victory Wednesday Against New York Knicks

The Miami Heat were led by Jimmy Butler's 35 points in win over New York Knicks

The Miami Heat once again improved their chances of making the playoffs. After their victory against the New York Knicks, they moved just percentage points behind the sixth-seeded Brooklyn Nets

Here are some major takeaways from the game:

-Jimmy Butler finished with 35 points, four rebounds, nine assists, and four steals. He also had two contested 3-pointers in the first half.

-After a rough first half for Tyler Herro, stepped up his game. He scored 14 of his 16 second-half points in the fourth quarter. He finished with 22 points on 61 percent shooting.

-The Heat put on a strong 3-point shooting performance. Led by Herro’s four, they hit 16 3-pointers on 57 percent. It was the highest 3-point percentage they recorded this season.

-Kyle Lowry had his best game since returning from his knee injury. He led all reserves with 14 points which included two 3-pointers. It was the most points he scored since Jan. 22.

-After struggling with his scoring the last two games, Gabe Vincent recorded 19 points, the most since Feb. 15. He also had three 3-pointers. Since this is his 20th straight start, he might remain in the starting lineup for the remainder of the season.

-Knicks standout Julius Randle had averaged 33 points in the two games in the series but the Heat held him in check. He was held to 15 points on 7 of 16 shooting.
