Takeaways From The Miami Heat's Victory Against Detroit Pistons

Jimmy Butler had a big fourth quarter to lead the Miami Heat past the Detroit Pistons

The Miami Heat’s victory against the Detroit Pistons keeps them alive while trying to grab the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.  But it didn’t come easy.  After struggling to keep up, the Heat outscored the Pistons 38-26 in the fourth quarter.

Here are some major takeaways from the game:

-Jimmy Butler finished the first half with just two points but he made up for the rough start.  He scored 18 points in the fourth quarter, finishing with 27 points.  He also had eight rebounds, eight assists, and four steals.

-Gabe Vincent put on the best scoring display in a while.  He finished with 22 points while hitting a season-high six 3-pointers.  It was the most 3-pointers since Jan. 28, 2022.

-After being sidelined a game due to a hip injury, Bam Adebayo returned but started off slow.  He had eight points in the first half while finishing with 18.  It was the second straight game he scored under 20 points.

-While the Heat were limited to just three bench players, Kyle Lowry led them with 11 points.  He also had two rebounds, five assists, one steal, and a block.
