Taking A Look At Miami Heat Players During Their March Madness Journeys

Many Miami Heat players shined during the NCAA Tournament

The 2024 NCAA Tournament is set to begin this week and many current NBA players had great moments during March Madness.

Some from the Miami Heat’s roster appeared in the NCAA Tournament during their college careers. Jimmy Butler played three seasons at Marquette University. The program made the tournament all of his years, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.

Bam Adebayo was a one-year player at the University of Kentucky. He reached the Elite 8 during his lone college season.

Tyler Herro played for Kentucky one year later. The Wildcats once again made it to the Elite 8 during Herro’s only year in college.

Terry Rozier had two runs during March Madness. He was bounced in the Sweet 16 during his freshman year at the University of Louisville. Rozier was then named to the 2015 NCAA Tournament All-Region Team as he led the Cardinals to the Elite 8.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. made the tournament four times during his UCLA career, appearing in 12 games. Jaquez helped the No. 11 seed Bruins reach the Final Four in 2021 and was also named to the 2023 NCAA Tournament All-Region Team.

Kevin Love is another UCLA tournament great. He reached the Final Four during his one season in college. He was named to the 2008 NCAA Tournament All-Region Team. Love averaged 19.8 points and 10.6 rebounds during his March Madness run.

Duncan Robinson is the only current Heat player to win a national championship when he helped Michigan win the 2018 title. Robinson made the tournament all three years with the Wolverines.
