Watch Heat vs. Bucks Play Of The Night: Bam Adebayo Slams The Rim After Tough Offensive Rebound

The Miami Heat's play of the night occurred in the first quarter on a play by Bam Adebayo

The Miami Heat took care of business in the first of a six-game road trip Tuesday night.

The Heat defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 123-97. Many players put on solid individual performances. Nikola Jovic scored a career-best 24 points. Duncan Robinson had 23 points while making six 3-pointers. Bam Adebayo had 16 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, his second triple-double of the season.

Adebayo also had a great play early in the game that helped set the tone. Two minutes after the opening tipoff, he grabbed the first of his five offensive rebounds of the night over Giannis Antetokounmpo. Adebayo then took a dribble and backed the defender up before turning around and slamming the ball in with two hands.

Adebayo is one of the best big men in the NBA at attacking the boards. He entered Tuesday’s game tied for the seventh-most rebounds per game in the league. What makes the play even more impressive is that he grabbed the offensive rebound away from Antetokounmpo. who averages the sixth-most rebounds this season. Antetokounmpo is also a former Defensive Player of the Year winner.

Tuesday was the fourth game this year that Adebayo collected five or more offensive rebounds. He had just five offensive rebounds over his past three games combined.

Adebayo’s combination of relentlessness and offensive termination played a key role in the Heat’s latest win. The team plays again Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
