Charlotte Hornets at LA Clippers Game Preview

The first of a season high six game west coast road trip

INJURY REPORT:

HORNETS: Out: LaMelo Ball (R Ankle Sprain), Frank Ntilikina (tibia) Doubtful: Mark Williams (back) Questionable: Brandon Miller (R Ankle Sprain)

CLIPPERS: Out: Mason Plumlee (L MCL Sprain), Moussa Diabate (L Hip Impingement) Questionable: Kawhi Leonard (Left Hip Contusion)

GAME PREVIEW:

After a torrid start to the James Harden era in LA, the Clippers have won 9 of their past 12 games. They do find themselves on a two game losing streak after giving up 134 points to Oklahoma City and 145 points to Boston.

The Clippers could be without Kawhi Leonard who has missed the last two games with a left hip contusion. If Leonard does miss out, Charlotte have at least a punchers chance to steal the first game of a season high six game road trip.

The good news for Charlotte is it seems Miller's latest ankle injury is only short term and Terry Rozier will return after missing the last game with knee soreness. Mark Williams continues to be missing with a mystery back injury which the longer it goes on the more concerning it becomes.

KEY MATCH-UP: Paul George vs Gordon Hayward

After an early season slump, Hayward has played better as of late. With Miller potentially out, the pressure will be on for Hayward to produce in the halfcourt while also likely guarding Paul George on the other end.

The game will air at 10:30 PM EST on Bally Sports Southeast.
