Hornets Losing Streak Extends to Five

The Hornets fall to 17-54 on the season.

CLEVELAND, OH - A long, four-game road trip officially comes to a close for the Charlotte Hornets and it comes with an all too familiar result - a fifth consecutive loss, this time to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 115-92.

After a dead-even first quarter of action, the Cavaliers opened things up in the second by holding the Hornets to just 17 points in the frame. They held onto a double-digit lead for much of the third, but really put the Hornets to rest in the fourth with a 36-point outburst. Six different Cavaliers finished in double figures - Evan Mobley (17); Jarrett Allen (17); Georges Niang (17); Darius Garland (15); Isaac Okoro (14); Sam Merrill (14).

Best of the Night: Brandon Miller

Surprise, surprise. The rookie continues to be the most consistent and arguably best player on the Hornets' roster. If it weren't for his offensive production on a nightly basis, this would be an even more difficult product to watch. Miller knocked down 8/18 shots (3/8 3FG) to go along with eight rebounds and three assists.

Worst of the Night: Nick Richards

Protecting the paint continues to be an issue for the Hornets and Richards is at the center of that problem, pun intended. Jarrett Allen went 7/9 from the field with 13 rebounds while fellow big man Evan Mobley went 8/12 with seven boards. Richards was limited to 11 points and three rebounds.
