Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets vs. Suns

Can the Hornets cover the spread?
In this story:

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Suns -10.5

3 Star play on the Suns (-10.5): The Suns are on the second night of a back-to-back, but I don't see that being much of a factor in this one. The Hornets may look competitive in the opening minutes, but i see this one getting out of hand pretty early on. I'm typically not confident laying double digit points with a road team, but this is an exception. Take the Suns.

Over/Under: 218.5

1 Star play on the under: Under has been the trend not only for the Hornets lately, but really for the entire NBA. Initially, I leaned over but I can't get myself to do it. 11 of the last 14 have stayed under the number for Charlotte, while 10 of the last 12 have stayed under in Phoenix games. This feels like one of those games where the Hornets' offense is out of sync and can't get shots to fall, keeping them under 100 points.

My picks this season

ATS: 21-23 (48%)

O/U: 22-22 (50%)

Overall: 43-45 (49%)
