Brandon Miller Named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month (Again)

Charlotte's young star recognized for the second straight month.

Monday afternoon, the NBA announced that Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Brandon Miller has been named the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month, marking the second consecutive month he's won the award.

During his 13 games played in February, Miller averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 44% from the floor and 37% from three-point land.

Miller becomes the sixth player in franchise history to win the award multiple times, joining LaMelo Ball, Raymond Felton, Larry Johnson, Alonzo Mourning and Emeka Okafor.

He will have a legitimate shot at the three-peat if he stays healthy and continues to play with consistency. In Sunday's game against the Toronto Raptors, Miller scored 26 points on 11/21 shooting (4/8 3FG) while also pulling down ten rebounds, dishing out three assists, and collecting a steal.

For the season, the former No. 2 overall pick is averaging 16.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists and is shooting 44% from the field and 37% from deep.

Miller and the Hornets will be back in action Tuesday night at Spectrum Center to host the Orlando Magic. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EST and can be streamed on the Bally Sports app.
