Hornets Release Statement on Miles Bridges' Return

The Hornets have released a statement about Miles Bridges' return Friday.

Miles Bridges' 10-game suspension has been served for the 2023-2024 season and Bridges is now eligible to make his return to action on Friday.

The Hornets released the following statement:

“Miles Bridges is eligible to return to our active roster on Friday after serving his NBA suspension. We are comfortable with Miles returning to play based on our current understanding of the facts of the recent allegations and remain in contact with the NBA as that matter proceeds through the court process.”

Miles Bridges averaged 20.2 points per game, along with 7.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the 2021-2022 season. He hasn't appeared in a game since then following the domestic violence charges in the summer of 2022.

It will be interesting to see the mixed reactions of fans on Friday when Bridges returns against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Miles Bridges' teammates, however, are excited to have him back with the team.

"Can't wait for y'all to see him. I know he's excited to play," said Washington on Bridges return Friday.

It's undetermined if Miles Bridges will resume his starting role activities in his first game back, but Clifford indicated that Bridges will have a "significant role with the team."

“I think he’ll be ready to play. He’s in practice every day. So he’s been well organized when he’s there. He’s in really good shape. He’s worked hard. Since he’s been here, he’s had great attitude, perfect worker; he’s a great teammate and he’s a really, really good player. He’s gotten himself in good shape and he’ll play right away. If you’re around him every day, he’s a team-first guy. They love him. They love having him around; the way he practiced, the way he works, the way he interacts with everybody.”
