NBA Eastern Conference Power Rankings - Week of Nov. 20th

Where do the Charlotte Hornets land this week?

Here are your Eastern Conference Power Rankings for the Week of Nov 20th, 2023.

1. Boston Celtics (11-2) - The Celtics have won six straight and boast the best record not only in the East but the entire NBA.

2. Philadelphia 76ers (10-3) - The 76ers fell to the Celtics last week, but have won eight of their past 10 games. Trading James Harden may have created a beast in Philly by subtraction.

3. Milwaukee Bucks (9-4) - Winners of four straight after defeating a hot Dallas Mavericks team on Saturday night. Giannis is averaging 29.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per night.

4. NY Knicks (8-3) - There is a muddled middle of the top 10 with three teams with the same record heading into the week. The Knicks have won three straight so we will slot them 4th. For now.

5. Miami Heat (8-3) - Jimmy Butler and company have won seven of their last 10 games. Keep an eye on them, they tend to peak right when you count them out.

6. Orlando Magic (8-3) - The Magic? Orlando is 4-2 vs the Eastern Conference so far. Over the weekend, the Magic defeated the Bulls and the Pacers. A young core, but can they keep the momentum going?

7. Indiana Pacers (7-5) - Basically treading water playing .500 ball.

8. Cleveland Cavaliers (7-6) - Cavs won three straight last week to pull above .500. Defeated the defending Champion Nuggets on Sunday.

9. Atlanta Hawks (6-6) - Had the weekend off but have lost their previous two outings to the 76ers and Knicks.

10. Brooklyn Nets (6-7) - The 10 spot currently is basically the cut off spot for playoff teams and non playoff teams. The Nets feel like a team of role players without a top 20 star player.

11. Toronto Raptors (6-7) - Five straight Eastern Conference games loom for the Raptors, who can rise or drop in the standings quickly through November.

12. Chicago Bulls (5-9) - Is Zach LaVine on the trading block? LaVine basically stormed off the court after a come from behind win over the Heat on Sunday. Lakers, Heat and Sixers could be destinations.

13. Charlotte Hornets (3-9) - The Hornets may be worse than last year somehow? In the middle of a four-game losing streak and have lost 6 straight home games since the season opener.

14. Washington Wizards (2-10) - Losers of five straight, the Wizards are becoming known more for dysfunction than anything. Jordan Poole appears to not really care about wins and losses at the moment.

15. Detroit Pistons (2-10) - Toronto beat the brakes off of the Pistons 142-113 on Sunday. The Pistons are the worst team in the East and will probably remain so all season with a young core.
