Score Predictions for Hornets at Pelicans

Our staff picks who will win tonight's game between Charlotte and New Orleans.

James Plowright: Hornets 119, Pelicans 114

The Pelicans have only beaten San Antonio, Houston, and two hobbled teams in Portland and Dallas since February 16th, those are some low-quality wins. NOLA really need this win with the Western Conference playoff race being close, but they're far from being healthy themselves. Zion and Alvarado will both be missing and Ingram has been banged up all year. Something tells me the pesky, spunky Hornets might have something to say. Kelly Oubre will be fired up to play in his home city, I'm expecting an aggressive evening from him to lead the way.

Nicholas Mullick: Pelicans 119, Hornets 117

If there is one thing that has been proven this season is that the New Orleans Pelicans are a very fraudulent team. The Pelicans came in with so much hype, but they failed to truly showcase their talent this season. In fact, they are currently in a slump as they have lost 9 of their last 15 games. The only consistent player on the Pelicans is Brandon Ingram who is clearly the best player on the team. Zion not surprisingly is dealing with an injury, again, and is unlikely to play in this game. While the Pelicans have struggled, this is the get-on-track game for them as the Pelicans have a very difficult schedule when looking at their last set of games. The Pelicans should take care of business beating the Hornets. If they can't win this game, then it is panic time in New Orleans.

Desmond Johnson: Pelicans 112, Hornets 108

I'm surprised the Hornets are still playing hard with less than two weeks to go in the regular season. The West is such a jumbled mess the Pelicans still can get into the play-in with a strong final week. Steve Clifford's weird combinations on the floor make me think the Pelicans find a way to win a must-win game at home for themselves. Expect a tight one but the Pelicans to win.
