The Raptors have a magic number of one for the playoffs and are right in the thick of the race to host one of the play-in games. Since they are closing their season with grueling matchups against the Celtics and Bucks, they are sure to give Charlotte everything they have over the next two games to give themselves some margin for error. Charlotte lost both of the season’s earlier matchups in Toronto while having difficulty contending with the length the Raptors sport, but maybe there can be some more spoiler success on the docket if Toronto gets complacent with a paper win.
Matt Alquiza: Raptors 105, Hornets 102
No matter how much the Hornets struggle, they always find a way to play a close game against Toronto. Charlotte is shorthanded but a day off on Saturday will do Charlotte well before they do battle with the Raptors.
Nicholas Mullick: Raptors 123, Hornets 93
The Hornets have been so unlucky with the number of injuries they have had this season. With the 4th-best draft odds clinched and the injuries, it is best for the Hornets to look at the youth on the team. It is going to be a challenge this time as they are facing off against the Toronto Raptors, who are trying to solidify a spot in the Play-In Tournament. I have the Raptors taking care of business and beating the Hornets.
