Score Predictions for Hornets vs Spurs

Our staff picks who will win tonight's game between Charlotte and San Antonio.

James Plowright: Hornets 128, Spurs 109

The Spurs have the 30th-ranked offense over the last two weeks, combine that with a defense which has fallen off a cliff since trading away Poeltl and a long injury list gives me confidence Charlotte will get the win. The only way I see Charlotte giving this one up is if the players are mentally "on the beach" already with the All-Star week just round the corner.

Jon Yeager: Hornets 120, Spurs 113

The Hornets should enter the all-star break on a two game win streak in front of the home fans. It’s obviously been a tough season thus far from an injury perspective and play on the court, but Steve Clifford should have his guys locked in before they hit the break. The youth movement in Charlotte is off to a strong start, headlined by Mark Williams, and I see that continuing tonight against a Spurs team dealing with their own share of injuries. Terry Rozier and LaMelo Ball will continue their strong performances as of late and get the Hornets another win.

Nicholas Mullick: Hornets 111, Spurs 106

Welcome to yet another tank game to get the best odds in the draft lottery. Two teams with one goal in mind: to try and tank for Victor or Henderson. That said, the Hornets should take care of business against a beaten up Spurs team. It is scary that Greg Popovich is still the Spurs coach as he's one of the few good coaches in the league. He is one the rare examples of a coach that matters for a team in this league. I think the game is close, but the Hornets win by 5.

Ian Black: Hornets 123, Spurs 114

With two young teams with not much defense in sight, this should be a higher scoring affair heading into the break. Thankfully for Charlotte, this is one of the few matchups where a shootout works in their favor.

Austin Leake: Hornets 120, Spurs 109

The Hornets are just a better team than the Spurs and San Antonio is currently on a 13-game losing streak. The Spurs have only won five road games all season. Look for Mark Williams to have a big game against a weak center core.
