Three-Team Mock Trade: Rozier + McDaniels Head to Contenders

Another trade idea that makes sense for the Hornets.

The NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching, as teams now have less than 100 hours to make the moves that will shape the rest of their seasons.

Some teams are looking to add to a championship-caliber roster for a title run, some are looking to retool with some new faces to get into a good spot, and some are looking to sell their valuable trade assets with an eye towards the future. In today's mock trade, I have one of each of those teams working together to achieve their goals.

Here is how it would go:

Hornets receive: Dario Saric, Landry Shamet, PHX 2023 1st, 2024 2nd (POR via MIL), 2025 2nd (IND via MIL)

Suns receive: Terry Rozier, Grayson Allen, Serge Ibaka

Bucks receive: Jae Crowder, Jalen McDaniels, PHX 2024 2nd

From the Hornets perspective, an expiring Saric, a 25-year-old Shamet with multiple years left on his deal, and three picks for Rozier and McDaniels would be a solid return.

The Suns are in desperate need of retooling around Devin Booker, and swapping out Crowder, Saric, and Shamet for some new faces could give the jolt it needs.

The Bucks have long been rumored to be interested in both Crowder and McDaniels, as both would provide versatile play as they make another championship push.
