During this past week, the Utah Jazz announced they had decided to waive Josh Christopher to sign Jason Preston to their final two-way spot on the roster. Albeit a minor move, it was effectively sending off the 2021 24th-overall selection elsewhere after spending just under three short months with the team.

However, it didn’t take long for the former Arizona State product to find a new home. According to a report from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Christopher has signed a deal to join the Miami Heat’s G-League team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

While Christopher did not get an opportunity to get on the floor for the Jazz, he’s managed to show some flashes of athleticism and scoring ability in his time with the Stars, as well as in his short time with the Houston Rockets. In his 138 games played, he’s averaged 6.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 45.5% from the field.

While he’s with the Skyforce, Christopher will look to improve his game in an organization known to have one of the best development systems in the entire NBA to get his promising career back on track.
