Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert has been named First Team All-Defense and Third Team All-NBA. These announcements come after being awarded the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year on Wednesday June 9.

NBA First Team All-Defense:

Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz)

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks)

Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors)

Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks)

Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers)

Third Team All-NBA:

Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz)

Bradley Beal (Washington Wizards)

Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat)

Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers)

Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn Nets)

Notes:

According to utahjazz.com, this is the third time that Gobert has been named as a Third Team All-NBA Player (2019, 2020, 2021). In 2017, Gobert was named to the Second Team All-NBA list.

According to utahjazz.com, this is the fifth time that Gobert has gotten the nod for the First Team All-Defense list (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021). This season, he led the entire NBA in total rebounds (960), defensive rebounds (720), blocks (190), defensive win shares (5.2), and defensive rating (100.6).

We can all agree that Gobert has been exceptional this season, and a major reason to why the Utah Jazz are the number one team in the NBA.

You can watch him in action once again, against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight during game five at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
