Jazz Linked to 3 Prospects via Pre-Draft Workouts

The Utah Jazz are doing their due diligence ahead of the 2023 NBA draft.

Soon, the Utah Jazz will know how the NBA Lottery will shake out. The NBA draft will be held June 22, and the Jazz have a lot of work to do leading up to it.

Pre-draft workouts are part of the process each year. To that end, the Jazz worked out Seattle University guard Cameron Tyson on Friday. SU offered some encouragement to Tyson on the day of his workout.

"Good luck to our guy Cameron Tyson as he takes on his first NBA pre-draft workout with the Utah Jazz today!" Seattle University wrote on Twitter.

Tyson is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound First Team All-WAC player. In 30 starts last season, he averaged 18.6 points per game and 4.4 rebounds.

The Jazz will also work out Dayton's 6-foot-8 forward Mike Sharavjamts, and San Diego State guard Lamont Butler. Butler, 6-foot-2, helped lead the Aztecs all the way to the National Championship Game, but coming up short to UConn.

The Jazz currently hold three first-round picks in this summer's draft. With the future of a couple of key players up in the air — guards Jordan Clarkson and Talen Horton-Tucker, both of whom have a player option — the Jazz are doing their homework on the 2023 class.

It'll be fun to see how Jazz CEO Danny Ainge ultimately parlays the war chest of draft capital and salary-cap space he's sitting on to reshape the roster and put a dent in the NBA.
