Sources say that Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell was furious with the teams decision to have him sit out of Sunday's Playoff opener against the Memphis Grizzlies.

This decision came only a few hours after Mitchell said during media availability, "I'm ready to go (...) No pain. I'm excited to get going."

After the game, Mitchell's teammates voiced their thoughts on the team's decision to leave him out of the game-one plans.

Rudy Gobert said, "When you wake up from a nap and find out your star player isn't going to play, it throws you off a little bit."

Mike Conley also chimed in, saying, "I found out about 4 o'clock. Obviously, that's tough on our team. But we've played all season with guys in and out of the lineup. That's not an excuse."

Bojan Bogdanovic seemed confused as to why the team made the decision to keep Mitchell on the bench. He said, "Of course we missed him, especially in the playoffs. I don’t know what happened, honestly, with the medical staff and him, to hold him out. You should ask him."

As of Monday afternoon, it was announced that Mitchell was a full participant in Utah's morning practice, and has been made available by the team for Game two of the Jazz opening playoff series.
