On Friday night, Mike Conley left the game against the Charlotte Hornets due to hamstring tightness and did not return. Following an injury to Mike Conley, the Jazz have transferred Trent Forrest from the Salt Lake City Stars. Forrest played four years at Florida State where he averaged 11.6 points per game and 4.0 assists per game as a senior.

The Jazz signed Forrest to a two-way contract after he went undrafted in the 2020 NBA draft.

The Jazz confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Conley is out against the Pacers:

The timing of Conley's injury is less than ideal. As the Jazz are entering the most difficult stretch of the schedule, they could be without Conley who leads the league in net on/off point differential per 100 possessions:

He is also leading the league in FiveThirtyEight’s RAPTOR metric. Plus, he’s top 20 in RPM, BPM, Win Shares, Net Rating, and VORP.

Further, he’s the lead ball-handler on the team with the best record in the NBA. And in the year that he has spent the most time off the ball, he’s posted career-high assist numbers per 36 minutes.
